Common questions
All-in, per loaded mile, by lane — fuel is baked in, no separate surcharge games. Dry van typically runs $2.10–$2.90/mi, reefer $2.40–$3.10, flatbed $2.30–$3.40, all subject to the week, region, and commodity. Dedicated and contract lanes are priced below spot in exchange for committed volume. Tell us the lane and equipment and you’ll get a firm number.
Two hours free at pickup and at delivery. After that, detention bills at $50/hour. It isn’t about nickel-and-diming — every hour the truck sits at a dock is an hour off the 14-hour HOS clock that I can’t legally drive. Respecting appointment windows keeps both of us moving and earning.
